Personality frameworks can help people recognize patterns, but a fixed label can make a moment feel like a permanent verdict. Currents reframes the question: instead of asking “what type am I?”, ask “what might this situation need from me?”

Four colors represent capacities a person can draw on—deciding, expressing, connecting, and understanding. They are possible responses, not identities or a ranking.

People begin by choosing a context such as work, study, parenting, or everyday life, then consider situations they actually encounter there. That gives the reflection a useful starting point without asking for an account or a long assessment.

The product logic keeps the four capacities available throughout: each prompt asks the person to choose a response that feels closest to their first instinct, with no “correct” color to chase.

Early versions scored responses. That made the experience feel as if one color was the right answer, which worked against the idea of situational reflection. Removing the score made the product clearer: choose what fits this moment, then notice what that choice brings.

The finished flow moves from a role and a concrete moment to a response and a reflection. It can show patterns across answers while making clear that those patterns describe choices made—not a fixed type.
